New GemOro Pro-D Diamond Tester. This is a new GemOro Pro-D diamond tester. Helps identify diamonds and white sapphire. Quickly assists with testing most any size diamond, whether mounted or loose. Ergonomic design with special durable ULTRAgrip paint finish allows for superior ease of use. LED illuminator - Positioned under the probe tip, the LED illuminator is a super bright white LED which illuminates the stone being tested. Equipped with a spring-loaded probe tip designed to protect the probe tip if excessive force is used when testing or it is accidentally dropped. European style chrome plated accent panels. Includes a premium GemOro embossed black leatherette presentation style storage case, leatherette carrying pouch, aluminum loose stone holder, as well as three user replaceable AAA alkaline batteries for maximum portability and a universal multi-voltage 100v-240v AC adaptor/charger. It may be powered with alkaline or NiMH rechargeable batteries or by its AC adaptor/charger. When NiMH batteries are installed in the PRO-D, the AC adaptor/charger may be used for recharging the batteries. The color coded LED bar graph indicates: Green= Diamond (or Moissanite). Yellow= Indicates the initial extent or level of conductivity. Upper Yellow Zone Almost reaching Green= Sapphire indication. Red= Simulant. Flashing Red= Low Battery. . Glowing probe tip cone indicator glows green for diamonds or moissanite and red for simulants. If the tester is not used for a period of 10 minutes, The PRO-D tester will automatically enter sleep mode. While in sleep mode, the PRO-D tester will operate with reduced power to preserve the battery life and begin beeping every 3 seconds to alert the user that the tester was accidentally left on and must be powered off.
